Provide treatment to clients under the supervision of a BCBA. All interventions are based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. All BTs must be certified as a Behavior Technician (CBT) with the WA State Department of Health (DOH). If you are new to the field, we will assist you with acquiring the required training course, at our expense, to achieve this certification.
Certified Behavior Technician Role:
Work directly with clients implementing treatment plans as directed in homes, clinic, and community
Report to Lead Staff and Program Supervisor
Record accurate data during session and create comprehensive notes for each session before session end
Work schedule as assigned; attend 90% of work schedule
Implement session activities as directed by Program Supervisor
Drive self between sessions when needed
Sub across programs as needed and as assigned
Know, follow, and remain updated on Policies, Procedures and Employee Handbook

Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age and have a High School diploma or equivalent
Have experience working with children/teens and/or adults
Have experience working with people with disabilities
Ability to pass the following: 40-hour Behavior Technician Training (if needed) / Skills Competency Assessment / Safety Care Specialist Training
Ability to demonstrate cultural sensitivity
Ability to lift 40 lbs, run after children, get up and down off of the floor, play and build rapport with children/teens
Ability to accept and implement feedback
Efficient and effective communication skills
Ability to learn and use treatment related technologies
Bilingual is a plus
Preferred Experience in:
Para Educator / Child Care / Babysitting / Respite Care / Kids / Disabilities / Paraeducator/ Personal Care / Caregiver / Caregiving / Group Home / Direct Support Professional / CBT / RBT / Registered Behavior Technician

Promote a supportive work environment with all colleagues
Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet client/family needs
Complete intakes and assessment for assigned clients
Develop an individualized treatment plan tailored to the needs, goals and objectives of the client
Train all Behavior Technicians (BT) to implement the individualized plan
Supervise each BT a minimum of 5% ratio of their total hours worked per month
Review clinical documentation with trainees or interns as part of the supervision process
Review case notes and treatment plan data collected by the Behavior Technicians
Implement the treatment plan with client and family as needed
Fully document each observation and maintain documentation in the confidential client file
Qualifications
Ability to pass a background check consistent with 43.43 RCW
Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst or Board Certified Behavior Analyst;
2+ years assessing, developing and implementing treatment plans preferred
2+ years training and managing direct staff and supervisors preferred
2+ years developing teaching strategies preferred
2+ years working with groups of children preferred
Safety Care Specialist Certification
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
Experience with approaches to social skills intervention
Ability to maintain customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Ability to utilize fax, phone systems, and other office technologies as necessary for the position
Ability to respond quickly to phone calls, text messages, and emails
Current on all required trainings/certifications (e.g. First Aid, CPR, Safety Care, and Board Certification)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $80,000.00 per year
